Object
Initiate and organise researches which depend upon international co-operation, to provide for the scienticic discussion of the results of such researches and to publish them without duplicating the publications of existing international statistical agencies. The Union confines itself solely to scientific investigation in the strict sense and refuses either to enter upon religious, moral or political discussion or as a Union to support a policy regarding population, of any sort whatever, particulary in the direction either of increased or of diminished birth rates.
(HB 1931)
