Promotion of friendly relations between Japan and the various Indian countries (Straits Settlements, British India, Dutch East Indies, Siam, French Indo-China, and the Philippines).

1. The study of Indian commerce and industry, science, arts, and religion. 2. Provision of various facilities for communications, investigation and study between India and Japan. 3.Publication twice or more a year of the transactions of the Association. 4.Publication of books, and holding of lecture-meetings.
